compensation

Compensation includes:

  • stipend of $600 per week (for a total of $6,000);

  • reimbursement of travel expenses to and from Newark, DE up to $500 (only for non-UD students);

  • lodging in Newark, DE (only for non-UD students);

  • conference travel (if abstract is accepted for presentation at a professional conference).

One-on-One
Mentoring

Participants will be mentored by our expert faculty members. You will work closely with one of the faculty to develop a research plan, conduct research, document, and present your findings. Your faculty mentor will also provide career counseling and other resources to help you achieve your full potential!

Students will participate in many professional development activities, that will prepare them to:

  • Deliver Technical Presentations

  • Conduct Literature Review

  • Become Proficient in Technical Writing

  • Become Familiar with Research Ethics

  • Learn about the Graduate School Application Process

  • Be Prepared to Give an Elevator Pitch

Participants will interact with our faculty, graduate students and other undergraduate students through biweekly group meetings, panel discussions, and participation in the Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium at the University of Delaware.
